You have the budget. What's missing is the argument.

We'll prepare the material you need to justify a Koumio® zone to your authority, your board and your parents.

Funding a Koumio® zone

EU operational programmes · standard grant templates

Koumio® boards are reported as innovation.

The school's operating budget

Suitable for a pilot. No capital-investment approval needed.

The authority's capital budget

Worth planning a Koumio® zone into a refurbishment or the fit-out of a new floor.

Regional grant schemes

Especially where the region supports educational innovation across its municipalities.

Parents' association funds

A proven route for adding another Koumio® board to an existing Koumio® zone.

Sponsorship and corporate gifts

The company gets a visible, lasting result — not a logo on a banner.

Local action groups

They sometimes open calls for funding the fit-out of public interiors.

Wording you can copy

The texts below are written in the language of grant application forms. Copy them into your application and fill in your school's details.

purpose of acquisition

Acquisition of interactive educational installations for developing pupils' key competences in school areas outside the classroom. The installations are intended for independent use by pupils during breaks and support inquiry-based teaching, cooperation across year groups, and the development of scientific and mathematical literacy.

benefit to pupils

The equipment gives pupils repeated contact with selected principles from mathematics, physics and the natural sciences through their own experiments. It supports independent discovery, cooperation between classes and the participation of pupils with special educational needs (including gifted pupils) without requiring a separate approach.

sustainability

The installations are built for long-term use in publicly accessible areas and require no electricity, no software support and no ongoing maintenance. Their expected service life exceeds ten years.

inclusive dimension

The educational content of the installations is designed to be accessible to pupils across all ability levels. Each pupil takes from the installation as much as their current abilities allow, with no need to adapt the task or provide assistance.

One thing left — to come and look at yours

The proposal is free of obligation and takes us an hour on site.

I want a Koumio® zone proposal

For regions and school authorities

When a region invests in educational innovation, the result is usually visible only in the regional capital. Koumio® zones can be rolled out across municipalities from a single order.

  • One order, five to ten schools. One commercial and administrative process instead of ten.

  • One design language. Koumio® zones in different municipalities read as one intention, not as ten unrelated purchases.

  • A shared PR moment. Before-and-after photographs from every participating school at once.

Not only schools

Care homes

Activity that doesn't add to the staff's workload. A Koumio® board in the corridor needs no facilitator — a resident walks up to it and starts an interaction that in itself mobilises the body, exercises fine motor skills, engages the mind and lets them explore at their own pace. Alone, in a small group, or with grandchildren.

We are preparing a research collaboration with the University of Pardubice to study the activating effect of Koumio® boards on older people systematically.

Hotels and public institutions

Lobbies, corridors and family areas where guests' children wait and get bored. A Koumio® zone works without an entertainer and, unlike a soft-play corner, it photographs well.

It is also used in waiting rooms, at receptions and in waiting halls — anywhere time and space can be put to good use.

Frequent questions from school authorities

We build Koumio® boards for corridors that hundreds of children pass through every day — beech plywood and steel, no parts that snap off on the first pull.

You take the Koumio® board down and hang it somewhere else. It isn't part of the structure, it doesn't touch the wiring, and the caretaker can move it.

Yes, and it's entirely up to you. A Koumio® zone works with a single Koumio® board; you don't have to buy anything more. New themes arrive gradually and keep the same design language, so whichever you choose later will sit naturally among the ones you have. We'll get in touch now and then with what's new; the rest we leave to you.
